PREDIABETES RISK/TYPE 2 DIABETES PREVENTION FOR ADULTS
Diabetes Prevention Program for Parents
The NAMIO CDC-recognized Diabetes Prevention Program, models on the CDC's National DPP curriculum, but built specifically for parents already managing a full household, not a generic adult program squeezed into a busy life.

X Generic DPP programs that ignore the fact you're also raising kids
X Diet plans that don't survive a school-night dinner rush
X Advice that assumes you have an hour a day just for yourself
X A waitlist for an in-person class that only meets during work hours

FAQS
What parents ask before joining.
Am I eligible for a Diabetes Prevention Program?
DPPs are generally designed for adults with prediabetes, a history of gestational diabetes, or other elevated risk factors like obesity. Check your eligibility.
How is this different from a generic weight-loss program?
This program is built to specifically to prevent progression to type 2 diabetes — not just weight loss — using the CDC-approved curriculum and a certified lifestyle coach. The NAMIO DPP is built specifically for parents.
Can I do this while my child is in the Family Healthy Lifestyle Program?
Yes! Since you share a household, changes in one program tend to reinforce the other. Additionally, family members are welcome to join the group coaching sessions to help support you in making positive changes at home.
Is this covered by insurance?
Coverage varies by plan. CDC-recognized Diabetes Prevention Programs are eligible for coverage with most plans, and through HSA accounts. Check with your employer or health plan, or contact us and we'll help you check.
What if I miss a session?
Life with kids is unpredictable. Session content is available on-demand so you don't fall behind if you miss a live class.
